Catherine Beck and Sarah Crispin represent Tufts at NCAA Track & Field Championships
Catherine Beck finished fourth in the 1,500m final at the 2007 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships on May 26 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Beck finished just .54 of a second behind the race winner, and established a new Tufts record of 4:27.58. Less than three hours later, she finished sixth in the 5,000m final in 17:11.69, earning her second All-America honor of the day and the sixth of her career. Sarah Crispin qualified for the 1,500 final in dramatic fashion, suffering a spike wound that caused her to need stitches before Saturday's final. In the final, Crispin closed out her Tufts career with a gutsy race and finished 10th in 4:38.65, her second-fastest time ever. Results | Photos (includes men)
